Jay Carney’s Benghazi Talking Points Carnival
Thank goodness for those who would not give up on revealing the TRUE Benghazi story, especially our three brave whistleblowers. White House spokesperson Jay Carney’s rhetorical distortions, manipulations and contortions have reduced the position of White House spokesperson to the level of an itinerant carny (with all due respect to real carnys). Carney is nothing more than a sideshow barker spewing puffery and nonsense. The Wall Street Journal rings the bell on this point in today’s edition.
Friday’s revelation that the Obama Administration’s talking points on Benghazi were revised a dozen times adds another reason not to trust the official story line.
The first iteration on Friday September 14 prepared by the CIA said that “we do know that Islamic extremists with ties to al-Qa’ida participated in the attack.”
This certainly contradicts the assurance from White House spokesman Jay Carney on November 28, 2012 that, “Those talking points originated from the intelligence community. They reflect the IC’s best assessments of what they thought had happened.”
A former journalist, Mr. Carney may have been in politics so long that he has forgotten when public officials begin to sound ridiculous.
One issue worth more examination is which U.S. and NATO military assets were available in the region to respond to the attack, and why they didn’t.
Did the well-known White House desire to retreat from Libya influence the ability and willingness of military officials to respond in real time? The lives of Americans around the world could hang on the answer. (block quote credit Benghazi Disinformation Points, Wall Street Journal “Opinion” 5/13/2013)
Four Americans are dead at the hands of Islamic Jihadists. Jay Carney mocks those deaths with his rhetorical smoke and mirrors. All this amateure White House prestidigitation must not deter us from finding the truth of why the Obama Administration blamed the attacks on a “nonevent” YouTube video even before the deceased returned to their beloved country in coffins. by “Grizzly Joe”
