John Stossel Compares Jihadist Threat to Hitting a Deer

“Terrorism may be a threat, but it is one of many…” – Journalist John Stossel

“Crisis grows the state, that is an enemy of freedom…  3,000 people died on September 11…  100 Americans are killed every year hitting deer…  Almost nothing has happened in 12 years…  The growth of the Homeland Security State is a great threat to our economic future and our freedom…  Terrorism may be a threat but it is one of many and we should keep that in perspective.”  John Stossel speaking at “LIBERTY VS. SECURITY: What is the Right Post-9/11 Balance in America” in N.Y.C. 8/7/13 sponsored by ConcernedVeteransForAmerica.org, Manhattan-Institute.org, and WeeklyStandard.com. (OBS Vid 8:53)

  1. “Almost nothing has happened in 12 years”????? Hmmm? Lets see..6,747 members of our armed forces killed. 51,364 of our forces wounded. Failed policies throughout the Middle East and Africa. A very small minority of Muslims, i.e. the Islamic Fascists who have bastardized their religion, have over taken the freedoms of millions of people throughtout the region. Christians churches burned and Christians murdered by intolerance and ignorance. Hardly “almost nothing”.

    • I missed the point? What point would that be? I’m not for big
government, but I am also not for the trivialization of the sacrifices
of our soldiers either. And that is what hes just done. I think Mr.
Stossel needs to have another interview with David Schultz.
