Obama & Rice Tweet “Eid Blessings”- Ignore Bengahzi-Gate

As President Barack Obama obstinately refuses to talk about the Jihadist Benghazi attack on 9/11/12, his administration did find time to Tweet his Muslim friends Eid Mubarak. (“Blessed Eid” the Islamic celebration marking the end of Ramadan)  Shockingly, even U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, who seems to have disappeared after her five Sunday morning talk show appearances on September 16, was on Twitter to do the same (who told her what to Tweet and when did they tell her?).  The entire U.N. Headquarters was closed for the Islamic Holiday!  Does the U.N. close for Jewish holidays also?  Were these Tweets an attempt to appease the world-wide Islamic community (“The U.S. is still sorry.”) or pandering to the Muslim community for votes?  Does the second paragraph summarize President Obama’s blissfully naive world view of Islam?

Q: Will the mainstream media allow the President to dodge Benghazi-Gate until after the election?

Here is the W.H. message, followed by the tweets.

Office of the Press Secretary

For Immediate Release October 26, 2012

Statement by the President on Hajj and Eid al-Adha

Michelle and I extend our best wishes for a joyful Eid al-Adha to Muslims in the United States and around the world.  We also congratulate the millions of peaceful pilgrims who are performing the Hajj, including thousands of American Muslims.

Throughout the year, Muslims join members of many faiths in serving  those suffering from hunger, disease, and conflict.  Muslim communities will continue this practice as they celebrate Eid by distributing food and charity to those in need.  Such acts of compassion underscore the shared values of the Abrahamic religions and people of all faiths. On behalf of the American people, we extend our warmest greetings on this holiday.  Eid Mubarak.
