Pinhead Bill O’Reilly vs Patriot Pamela Geller
Sadly, Bill O’Reilly joined a significant number of mainstream media pinheads who blame Pamela Geller for the Jihadist attack at the “Draw Muhammad” Art Exhibit in Garland Texas last Sunday. His Talking Points Memo Tuesday night displayed a complete misunderstanding of what Pamela Geller stands for as well as O’Reilly’s nonexistent grasp of the danger of allowing Islamists using the threat of violence to chip away at American freedoms:
The Garland, Texas Police Department is keeping secret the name of the hero cop who shot two jihadists dead on Sunday — that, of course, for his own protection as radical Muslims are a dire threat. We all know that.
Ok, Bill is talking “radical Muslims,” so far so good.
Now there’s controversy over whether the anti-Muslim group who ignited the situation did a foolish or a noble thing.
“Anti-Muslim” group? The American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) is actually anti-Jihad. Does that make AFDI “anti-Muslim”? Of course not. Believe it or not, not all Muslims are not Jihadists. Only two sentences in and Bill is already factually wrong. Maybe a Jihad expert like Donald Trump can get him back on track?
Donald Trump weighed in on the group’s leader, Pamela Geller.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
TRUMP: It looks like she is just taunting everybody. What is had she doing with drawing Mohammed. It looks like she’s actually taunting people. You know, I’m one that believes in free speech probably more than she does. But what is the purpose of this?
(END AUDIO CLIP)
zzzzzzzzzzzz…. Snort! Huh? Is Trump gone already?
O’REILLY: Mr. Trump is correct. By setting up a contest and awarding $10,000 for a depiction of the Prophet Mohammed, the American Freedom Defense Initiative spurred a violent incident. That wasn’t smart, even though the group has its supporters.
AFDI had an art exhibit in the UNITED STATES that by happenstance flushed out two cowardly Jihadist savages. Following Bill’s “logic,” nobody in the United States should do anything that might cause Jihadists to do violence in the name of Islam. No more marathons (Boston Bombing), cops should not stand on their post (NYPD hatchet attack), Army Bases should be closed (Fort Hood) and Americans should not go to work, especially in landmark office buildings (9/11/01)… oh, and all women should probably cover up head-to-toe just in case.
Mike — I’m withholding his last name in Fairbanks, Alaska wrote, “Megyn Kelly was completely right and you are completely wrong, O’Reilly. An event like this should be held daily. The Muslim world doesn’t like it — tough.”
Good point Mike!
Insulting the entire Muslim world is stupid — Mike. It does not advance the cause of liberty or get us any closer to defeating the savage jihad. You may not have noticed but some Muslim countries are now fighting ISIS and al Qaeda themselves.
“Insulting the entire Muslim World”? Thus, according to Bill, all Muslims are insulted by depictions of Mohammed. Looks like stereotyping bordering on Islamophobia.
Jordan and Egypt, two of the most powerful. So Mike, do you think it’s a smart strategy, to insult the Muslim countries of Jordan and Egypt by besmirching their religious icon? Do you?
Oy! An art exhibit in Garland Texas was insulting to the entire populations of Jordon and Egypt, even the non-Muslims therein?
Now the group that did the insulting says it’s entitled to profane Mohammed because in the Islamic religion any kind of depiction of him is a sin. They say they can do that in America because of freedom of speech. Well that’s true. They have the right to do it here. But again, it’s stupid. It accomplishes nothing.
Did AFDI say they are entitled to “profane Mohammed” or did they say they are entitled, under the Free Speech protections we enjoy in AMERICA, to have an exhibit of caricatures? If certain folks of any religion find some art profane, guess what? They are out of luck, we are in AMERICA!
There has been no program stronger than The Factor in speaking out against the jihad.
This statement is just plain stupid, to borrow Bill’s word from earlier in this piece. How many times has Bill given the Islamist Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) a platform to spew their Islamist propaganda unchallenged? Does Bill, or any of his staff, recognize CAIR’s attempts to suppress free speech In AMERICA? (see Burning CAIR’s Islamophobia Report OBS 10/7/13)
We have severely criticized the Obama administration for being too timid and for allowing atrocities to go unpunished. So don’t give me I’m soft on the jihad. I’m not. They deserve to be neutralized and removed from the planet. If President Obama was serious about fighting these fanatics, he would actually mobilize the 60 nations that have allegedly signed on to fighting ISIS. But it’s dead. It’s a big fraud. We all know that. The world conditions to do nothing.
Bill is bloviating. He has not so deftly jumped from attempting to critique Pamela Geller’s AMERICAN art exhibit to referencing the savagery of ISIS oversees. AFDI is all about preventing ISIS atrocities in AMERICA by defending AMERICAN freedoms. AFDI warns of the dangers of creeping Sharia in AMERICA and how the blind acceptance of Islamist ideology in AMERICA is a danger to AMERICAN IDEALS.
But insulting a religion with more than a billion followers world wide does not advance the cost of defeating the fanatical jihadists. It hurts the cause, does it not?
No Bill, having an art exhibit that bothers some Muslims does not hurt “the cause” of AFDI, a cause which you don’t even seem to understand. By the way Bill, of the “billion followers” of Islam worldwide, how many follow the extremist brand of Islam that ISIS does? Even if were a significant percentage of those “billion followers,” should we self-suppress the freedoms we enjoy in AMERICA out of fear? No.
And that’s “The Memo”.
