Raising a Jihadi Generation BOOK REVIEW (LEOs Take Note)
In fewer than 100 pages, author John Guandolo presents an informative “Handbook for Law Enforcement, Intelligence and Military professionals” to fight Islamic Jihad in the United States. Every citizen should read this book to enhance the ability to “see something and say something.”
Established in 1928, the Muslims Brotherhood’s stated goal is to achieve a global Caliphate (Islamic State) governed by Sharia Law. Today the Brotherhood is in at least 100 countries. The Muslim Brotherhood’s tentacles reached the United States by the 1950s when Uncle Sam’s attention was focused on the Cold War. The college- based Muslims Students Association (MSA) was the Brotherhood’s first formal national Islamic organization in the United States. One needs only Google “Muslim Student Association” to see how far this single Brotherhood entity has proliferated across American campuses.
Another Brotherhood entity was exposed in The Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing trial in Texas (U.S. Northern District of Texas) in 2008. A veritable archive of Muslim Brotherhood North America documents introduced at that trial showed how the Brotherhood was using a purported charity in the United States to fund terrorism. The trial proved that the Muslim Brotherhood is real, it is in American and that its goal is to establish a global Islamic state.
The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is not just another Muslim Brotherhood entity. It was also an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation trial. Consider that the next time you see a CAIR representative bemoaning “Islamophobia” in the mainstream media.
Equally well-covered in “Jihadi Generation” is how the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in the United States must be confronted with a “counter-insurgency” from the America citizenry, law enforcement and civilian alike. As to law enforcement specifically, Mr. Guandolo notes that the information in this book can assist officers to articulate “facts which go to Reasonable Suspicion and Probable Cause” to uncover potential acts of and/or preparation for Islamic Jihad (violation of federal/state and/or local law) that might otherwise be missed.
Recognizing that this handbook may be a reader’s first introduction to the subject matter, the appendices recommend websites, books and documentary DVDs for further education. This book is a must-read for all Americans. Our primary tool in fighting Islamic Jihad is knowledge. – Grizzly Joe
